And the Inscription reads: Commitment to Excellence Luverne School
Recently, Luverne School was recognized by U.S. News & World Report magazine as one of America's Best High Schools. Working with a firm called School Evaluation Services, the magazine examined academic and enrollment of more than 21,000 high schools nationwide. The schools were measured on how they stacked up against state proficiency standards and how they prepared students for college. Luverne School received a Bronze ranking for performing better than statistically expected for the average student in the state. Principal Chuck Alford said, "We are very proud of our teachers and students for their hard work and dedication and I am also very excited about the continued advancement in our programs, including our online Access classes. We're certainly also proud of our outstanding parents and community for helping to make this honor a reality."
